Yu has been selected as one of 2024's Taiwan Top 100 Best-Performing CEOs by Harvard Business Review (traditional Chinese version), a prominent business magazine. This marks Mr. Yu's superior leadership, as well as his vision in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. Group Chairman Yu personally attended the award ceremony to receive the honor on July 31.
Held every two years, the award considers perspectives such as financial and ESG performances in its assessment. Candidates who made the list are iconic business leaders in Taiwan. For business performance, CTCI Group achieved excellence with consolidated sales revenue amounting to NTD 103.5 billion and an estimated NTD 346.9 billion in construction backlog, breaking the Group’s record. By winning a total of NTD 111.8 billion in new contracts, it marks the company’s fourth consecutive year of reaching the hundred-billion benchmark. For the Group’s ESG effort, CTCI applied advanced technologies for carbon reduction during project execution. Take construction backlog for example. The amount of green contracting has proliferated from NTD 43.8 billion to NTD 212.8 billion between 2015 and 2023. This showcases how CTCI has continued to aid the industry in the process of green transitioning, sparing no effort in guarding an eco-friendly environment.
In Chairman Yu’s acceptance speech, he mentioned that for many years, CTCI has been a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) group in Taiwan and among the world's top 100 engineering service providers. Striving for sustainable development with its core business, CTCI has been a leader in the Construction & Engineering sector, selected in the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index (DJSI) for several consecutive years, and ranked in the top 1% by the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook. The Group hopes to become a Guardian of Sustainable Earth, assisting global clients with the Most Reliable engineering service to achieve green engineering that is both economically and ecologically effective, creating a brighter future together.
