Taiwan A Guardian of Sustainable Earth, CTCI Joins Forces with Zhishan Cultural and Ecological Garden in Safeguarding Biodiversity

TAIPEI, December 4, 2023-CTCI, a leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project contractor in Taiwan, collaborated with Zhishan Cultural and Ecological Garden to hold two sessions of the "Urban Explorers - Ecological Survey Sharing Sessions" on November 26 and December 2. These events aimed to engage the public in environmental action, injecting fresh momentum into sustainable development and fostering increased awareness of biodiversity to create a better ecological environment.

The sessions showcased the ecological survey findings from nine cultural exhibition venues across Taipei City, including: Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Dadaocheng Wharf, Treasure Hill Artist Village, Spot-Taipei Film House, Taipei Digital Art Center, Sun Yun-Suan Science and Humanity Memorial Hall, Mayor's Residence Art Salon, Hua Kang Museum, and Lin Yutang House.
The event attracted over a hundred participants who engaged in discussions with volunteers from the collaborating venues and CTCI team members. They shared experiences of participating in long-term ecological survey activities and implementing ecological concepts in their daily lives and work.
With over 40 years of commitment in Taiwan, CTCI identifies itself as a "Guardian of Sustainable Earth," recognizing the significance of urban ecological preservation and nurturing biodiversity awareness as pivotal elements in environmental protection. In recent times, it has actively promoted the "CTCI Biodiversity Project -Embracing the Vitality of Water," collaborating with local cultural partners at operational sites to understand and safeguard local water bodies, rivers, wetlands, and the surrounding environment. This collaborative effort aims to safeguard natural resources and gradually expand its societal impact.
In addressing biodiversity concerns, CTCI has set 2030 operational goals to achieve No Net Loss (NNL) and comply with Zero Deforestation standards for its operational sites. By 2050, the goal is to attain Net Positive Impact (NPI) for its operational sites and ensure Zero Net Loss and Zero Deforestation standards across the value chain. Additionally, it has participated in external advocacy, signing the Business for Nature's Call to Action, intending to reverse natural loss trends by 2030. CTCI pledges to continue practicing sustainability through its core competencies, ensuring the sustainable development of our planet.
