CTCI Receives Kaohsiung EPB’s High Distinction Award for Supreme Construction Site Quality

KAOHSIUNG, December 11, 2024- CTCI Corporation today announced that it has been given the High Distinction Award in this year’s regional construction site quality assessment by Kaohsiung City Government’s Environmental Protection Bureau (EPB), for its environmental protection management of two 30,000 m3 cryogenic ethylene and propylene tanks and ancillary facilities that it constructed.

The environmental protection practices associated with this construction project, which are embedded with intelligent technologies, have been adopted to ensure strict adherence to the latest regulations on environmental protection and improvement of management efficiency. Practices include:
- Installation of smart notification system for car wash platform: where traffic light is connected to the monitoring and control system, barring vehicles which haven’t met minimal car wash time requirement from leaving the platform.
- Installation of AI-embedded fugitive dust monitoring system: where sprinkler systems are automatically activated to suppress the emission of fugitive dust when the dust emission has been detected by AI.
- Installation of outdoor micro-sensors: these IoT sensors are connected to a notification-enabled monitoring and control system, allowing site personnel to instantly take action to address issues related to air quality, climate, and temperature.
- Installation of water-saving grit chambers, car wash platform with water recycling tank, and adopting rainwater/wastewater/runoff recycling and reuse practices.
These practices are in line with the policy behind EPB’s assessment, which commends companies and institutions for their commitment to environmental safety and hygiene, environmental protection awareness at work sites, and utilization of smart technology in work site management. CTCI will continue to commit itself to safeguarding the Earth’s sustainability while maintaining the profitability through Green Engineering projects and its “Most Reliable” spirit, so that client needs are duly met.
