Taiwan Guardian of Sustainable Earth: CTCI Won Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards and Changemaker Award

As Taiwan’s leading and one of the world’s top 100 global engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, CTCI has been committed to promoting global sustainability and has achieved outstanding performance, securing three gold and one silver medals in the 2024 Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards, with Joanne Ho, CTCI’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), winning the Changemaker Award. The award ceremony was held on August 8th during the 2024 SDG Asia, where CTCI was invited to showcase its tangible accomplishments to safeguard the Earth’s sustainability through its engineering expertise.

Held by Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), the awards honor those who practice the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the resulting achievements and contributions. CSO Joanne Ho commented that, in response to ESG and the net-zero trend, CTCI Group has been making unwavering efforts in developing “Green Engineering” that is closely related to the Earth’s sustainability, actively supporting the industry to achieve green transition while going hand in hand with partners to create low-carbon supply chains. Through our engineering expertise, we aim to create a win-win situation that benefits both the economy and the environment to embrace sustainability, driving the world to a better future.
This year, the four winning action plans highlight CTCI’s long-standing commitment to ESG practices. Brief introductions are as follows:
.SDG13 on Climate Action Gold Award: Through adding intelligent services including iEPC and Digital Twin, combined with cross-disciplinary green technology and experiences, full lifecycle net-zero sustainable solutions are provided to clients.
.SDG06 on Water and Sanitation Gold Award: We develop secondary source of water to steadily supply industrial and domestic use by expanding services from addressing industrial wastewater, urban wastewater recycling and reuse, to water reclamation in high-tech and electronics industry, and seawater desalination plants.
.SDG12 on Responsible Consumption and Production Gold Award: ECOVE Solvent Recycling Corporation, a subsidiary of CTCI, specializes in recycling and reuse of wasted IPA, keeping introducing new technologies to increase the value of application and realizing green production.
.SDG04 on Quality Education Silver Award: CTCI establishes “CTCI University”, an online learning platform for approximately 8,000 colleagues around the world to study without borders and time differences, while launching “CTCI Learning” website to the public for free.
In the future, CTCI Group will continue increasing our engineering influence, partnering with different industries to make efforts in safeguarding the Earth, and aiming to realize the ESG vision of being a “Guardian of Sustainable Earth”.
