Taiwan CTCI Awarded Contract by Leading Global High-Tech Manufacturer to Expand South Taiwan Science Park Water Reclamation Plant, Recognizing CTCI’s Technology-Enabled Water Reclamation Capabilities

TAIPEI, April 15, 2026- The leading Taiwanese engineering, procurement, and construction company CTCI Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a contract by a globally renowned high-tech manufacturing company to expand the Southern Taiwan Science Park Water Reclamation Plant, in recognition for CTCI’s green engineering capabilities in reclaiming industrial wastewater for reuse in the semiconductor process.

The expansion of the landmark plant, which CTCI invested, built and currently operates, will further strengthen the client’s water supply resilience and contribute to national goals of water source diversification and net zero emissions, creating a win-win for both environmental sustainability and corporate performance.
The expansion will follow a Design-Build-Own-Operate (DBOO) model, with an operating period of 20 years. This pay-for-service approach enables the client to secure a stable and customizable supply of reclaimed water as replacement for tap water, while minimizing upfront capital investment.
As a “Guardian of Sustainable Earth,” CTCI deploys the BioNET technology developed by Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute to enhance water quality, improve energy efficiency, and reduce secondary pollution. In addition, CTCI utilizes an in-house, AI-enabled smart water management system and digital monitoring technologies to ensure higher recovery rates of reclaimed water and purity, while minimizing carbon emissions throughout the water reclamation process.
Commenting on the contract award, Chairman of CTCI Corporation Michael Yang said: “The global shift toward sustainability and extreme climate challenges are driving inelastic demand among resilience-focused industries for reliable, high-quality water provision services. The STSP Water Reclamation Plant has demonstrated CTCI’s technical ability to convert wastewater into reclaimed water for industrial use. We aim to replicate this success globally and provide clients across the high-tech sector and beyond with customizable, green water supply solutions. By helping clients transform wastewater into valuable resources, we believe this creates a win-win for both industrial development and technological progress.”
Amid the global surge for high-tech facility construction driven by rapid growth in AI computing demand, CTCI is well-positioned to deliver power and water infrastructure solutions that are necessary for factory expansion, supported by its extensive global EPC experience and strong track record in the high-tech supply chain. With a 70% market share in gas-fired power plant EPC projects in Taiwan, CTCI is a critical infrastructure service provider in the era of energy transition.
Building on four decades of experience in water and zero-waste management, and leveraging intelligent, AI-driven management tools, CTCI is actively expanding its presence in green computing and sustainable facilities. By leveraging its strength in cross-sector integration, the company helps clients enhance resilience by tapping into diversified, recoverable resources, contributing to the Earth’s sustainability.
