Taiwan CTCI Champions Local Engagement and Sustainability with the Opening of the “Zhishan Splendor: Shilin Cultural Festival”
CTCI Group, a long-time advocate for local community engagement and corporate social responsibility, has once again partnered with the Taipei Wild Bird Society and the Zhishan Cultural and Ecological Garden to host the 15th annual “Zhishan Splendor: Shilin Cultural Festival.” The 2025 festival officially opened on June 7 with a vibrant inaugural concert held in the grand lobby of CTCI headquarters, drawing over 170 guests and community members to a joyful afternoon of music.
With this year’s theme, “Art Meets Nature: Cultivating a Culturally Inclusive Green Space,” the festival runs through August 30 and features a rich lineup of music performances, exhibitions, and ecological education events. The aim is to inspire the public with the harmonious beauty of cultural expression intertwined with the wonders of the natural world.
The opening ceremony was led by Jung-Hsin Liao, Executive Director of the Wild Bird Society of Taipei, and Joanne Ho, Chief Sustainability Officer of CTCI Group. Together, they symbolically poured “living water” into representations of the Shuang Creek and Huang Creek—paying tribute to the festival's spirit of cultural integration and sustainability.
In a touching highlight of the event, the CTCI Philharmonic Club and the Lanya Junior High School String Orchestra performed a series of moving pieces that spanned both Eastern and Western musical traditions. This cross-generational, cross-cultural collaboration embodied the festival’s message of inclusion and artistic diversity.
As a living example of CTCI's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values, the venue also hosted an ecological exhibition introducing common bird, insect, and plant species found in the Zhishan area, helping participants connect with the region’s vibrant biodiversity. In addition, the Down Syndrome Foundation’s “ABRAZO” social enterprise was invited to hold a charity sale, reinforcing the importance of inclusive social support and public welfare.
Looking ahead, CTCI remains committed to leveraging its corporate influence to foster cultural diversity and environmental sustainability in close partnership with the communities it serves.
