Taiwan High-Tech Facility Projects Fuel 43% of CTCI Corp.’s New Contracts; Q2 Revenue Climbs 19%
On August 12, CTCI Corporation (TWSE: 9933) held an investor conference and reported strong performance amid the global waves in AI computing infrastructure, semiconductor/high-tech plant construction, and energy transition, demonstrating robust engineering, procurement, and construction capability. Driven by high market demand, CTCI Group’s backlog reached a historical high of NT$490.3 billion. Cumulative new contracts reached NT$83.809 billion as of the end of July, with high-tech facility projects accounting for 43%. This highlights CTCI’s precise positioning in high-entry-barrier markets and powerful business expansion momentum.
Following a slower pace of revenue recognition in Q1, as major projects were in the completion and closeout stage while new projects remained in early planning and design stages, Q2 revenue rose 19% quarter-on-quarter, with revenue expected to grow in every subsequent quarter. Overall gross margin remained steady at a double-digit level, heralding a harvest phase and laying a solid foundation for robust operations in the years to come.
CTCI Chairman Michael Yang stated: "CTCI will continue to focus on high-value-added markets including AI infrastructure, energy transition, Middle East reconstruction, nuclear energy, and net-zero circular economy. We will turn our backlog projects into revenue and profits faster, so as to enhance earnings quality." In line with this strategy, CTCI Group is actively deepening its global footprint.
In AI and high-tech facility projects, CTCI is capitalizing on the massive opportunities created by global supply chain restructuring and the boom in AI computing capacity. Leveraging its worldwide operating network and full-scope EPC capability, CTCI has secured multiple key resource cycling projects, such as a zero-waste center and a water reclamation plant, for a leading semiconductor company. Seizing opportunities in facility infrastructure construction, CTCI has undertaken multiple data center construction projects, most recently winning a contract to build a data center in Singapore for a US client. These projects demonstrate CTCI’s EPC capability in high-tech facilities.
To enhance its competitive edge, CTCI is deepening its strategic partnership with Delta Electronics, USI Corporation, and Taya Group through the "Tech-Engineering Strategic Alliance." By integrating Delta Electronics' expertise in smart energy, power and thermal management technologies—and leveraging technical complementarities alongside real-world site validations—CTCI is accelerating the commercial deployment of high-tech engineering and green solutions. This enables the company to aggressively expand its global footprint in AI high-tech infrastructure. Meanwhile, CTCI is closely collaborating with USI Corporation and Taya Group to maximize synergies in advanced low-carbon, high-value materials and energy connectivity.
As the market leader in gas-fired power plant and LNG receiving terminal EPC in Taiwan, CTCI is closely watching business opportunities related to new power plant construction, grid upgrades, and energy transition both domestically and overseas, at a time when AI and data centers worldwide drive surging demand for electricity. Multiple key projects in Taiwan are progressing full speed ahead, including Tunghsiao, Talin, and Kuokuang gas-fired power plants, as well as FPCC LNG Terminal, Kaohsiung Intercontinental LNG Terminal.
In energy transition and decarbonization, CTCI is fully committed to markets with long-term growth potential, including Middle East regional reconstruction, global nuclear energy restarts, and net-zero emissions/circular economy projects. Through cross-domain green energy integration capabilities, CTCI is taking a multi-pronged approach to build its future growth engines, unlocking diversified expansion opportunities.
Faced with a massive backlog, CTCI will steadily advance all projects by optimizing its contract portfolio, enhancing project management, improving execution efficiency, and ensuring rigorous risk control. Leveraging its world-leading green EPC capabilities and extensive global contract execution experience, CTCI is uniquely positioned to seize industry transformation opportunities. Moving forward, CTCI will continue to serve as “The Most Reliable Global Engineering Services Provider” and deliver maximum value for global clients and shareholders.
