Taiwan CTCI’s CPC Talin Petrochemical Project Hits 10 Million Safe Man-Hours—An Outstanding HSE Milestone via Smart Safety Management
TAIPEI, July 3, 2026- Taiwan’s leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services provider CTCI Group announced today that five EPC projects undertaken by the parent company CTCI Corporation and two Group companies—CTCI Machinery Corporation (CTCI MAC) and CTCI Resources Engineering Inc. (CTCI REI)—at CPC Corp.’s Talin Petrochemical Storage & Transportation Center have collectively reached 10 million safe man-hours.
During the celebration ceremony held on July 3, CTCI Chairman Michael Yang accepted the safety excellence awards, joint safe man-hour certificates, and trophies presented by Chien-Hsin Chiang, Director-General of the Labor Affairs Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, and Jeng-Zen Fang, Chairman of CPC Corporation. The event also recognized outstanding subcontractors and personnel. The award represents CTCI team’s exceptional achievement in technology-driven smart safety management and a new record in project milestone.
In his opening speech, Chairman Yang stated that the five projects contributing to this combined 10 million safe man-hours milestone include the completed pigging and metering Station, as well as four ongoing projects: 41 atmospheric storage tanks; two cryogenic tanks and receiving facilities; the VOC recovery system; and the new storage tanks in Zone H2 at CPC's Talin Petrochemical Storage and Transportation Center.
Throughout execution, the CTCI team has integrated various advanced smart safety technologies. These include smart safety CCTV systems and the Location Management System (LMS) for personnel and equipment. By leveraging these tech applications, occupational safety management becomes more precise and intelligent. When combined with automated push notifications to boost managerial efficiency, the team can fully monitor workers' safe behaviors and store records in the cloud for future analysis and continuous improvement.
In terms of training, the team provides workers with VR simulations for working at height and has built an HSE experiential training room to sharpen safety awareness and emergency response capabilities. To mitigate the hazards of scorching weather, mist cooling systems were installed to reduce heat-related risks and guarantee onsite personnel safety.
CTCI reaffirms its commitment to upholding the core philosophy of "Safety as the Top Priority." It will continue to collaborate with clients and all subcontractors to thoroughly implement safety management measures, driving toward a "zero incidents" goal to foster a safer, healthier working environment while ensuring the smooth progress and high-quality, on-time delivery of the projects.
