China New Achievement in Green Engineering: Zhangzhou CHIMEI PC EPC Project Contracted by CTCI Beijing Delivered Ahead of Schedule

Taipei, Aug 19, 2024- CTCI Group has been committed to assisting global clients to achieve sustainability through green engineering. CTCI Beijing, a subsidiary of CTCI, won the Zhangzhou CHIMEI EPC project for the production of 180,000 tons of polycarbonate (PC) per year, and achieved mechanical completion on June 30, three months ahead of schedule. A crew from CHIMEI Corp., accompanied by CTCI Beijing Chairman T. S. Zhang, visited the production site and offered high praise for the company’s efficiency in project execution.

This project is a key step for CHIMEI to expand its PC manufacturing technology blueprint. Located at Zhangzhou Gulei Port Economic Development Zone in Fujian Province, the plant is CHIMEI’s second production base in China. Its completion enables CHIMEI to integrate the product development of upper and lower industries, and to further realize the goal of product line diversification, quality enhancement, and value adding, becoming one of a handful of manufacturers in the market with knowledge of various PC materials manufacturing technologies. Produced through an eco-friendly, phosgene-free process, the PC materials feature characteristics of high-temperature resistance, high impact strength, flame retardancy, and transparency, making it the best choice for new generation applications such as electric vehicles, energy storage, and 5G network equipment, etc.

Since 2012, CTCI Beijing has won several SSBR, HIPS, PS, ABS EPC projects in Mainland China from CHIMEI, acting as CHIMEI’s long-time partner.
