Taiwan CTCI Recognized with National Sustainable Development Award

TAIPEI, December 1, 2023-The prestigious “2023 National Sustainable Development Awards” were recently announced, marking CTCI’s debut participation and immediate victory. The company’s relentless efforts and achievements in advancing national sustainability through its core engineering capabilities were highly acknowledged. Mr. John T. Yu, Group Chairman of CTCI, attended the award ceremony on November 30 and received the accolade from Premier of the Republic of China Chien-Jen Chen on behalf of the company.

Organized by the National Council for Sustainable Development of the Executive Yuan, this award aims to recognize outstanding contributors to sustainable development, fostering collaborative efforts among government, industry, academia, and research sectors to materialize sustainability.

CTCI Group Chairman John T. Yu expressed that the company sees itself as “a Guardian of Sustainable Earth,” dedicating its core engineering competencies to drive global sustainable development. CTCI’s ongoing commitment to “Green Engineering” constructions has actively promoted both national and global sustainable development, showcasing outstanding performances across various ESG facets and earning this esteemed national recognition.

For years, CTCI has been a role model in the engineering sector, consistently receiving external acknowledgments for its ESG performance. This includes eight consecutive years as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (Emerging Markets), ranking first in the global construction and engineering industry, and receiving the highest honor of S&P Globule’s Global Sustainability Yearbook, being within the Top 1%. The company has also been honored with the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) as one of the top ten sustainability exemplars, ranking within the top 5% in the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Evaluation, Morgan Stanley’s (MSCI) ESG Ratings, CDP (Carbon Disclosure), Taiwan Sustainability Index (TWSI), and accolades in sustainable excellence from “CommonWealth” and “Business Today” magazines.
