TAIPEI, November 15, 2023- According to the announcement of this year (2023)’s Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) and Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA) winners, CTCI Group has set the best record in its own history. CTCI Corp., one of the Group companies, has won numerous awards, including Top Ten Domestic Companies Sustainability Model Award for seven years in a row and remains the leader in the engineering industry; platinum Corporate Sustainability Report Award, first category; Climate Leadership Award; Circular Economy Leadership Award; Supply Chain Leadership Award; Innovation and Growth Leadership Award; Transparency and Integrity Leadership Award; and the GCSA Best Practice Award for Outstanding Practice. CTCI ASI, another company of CTCI Group, has won the Top 100 Sustainability Model Award, platinum Corporate Sustainability Report Award, second category; and the Transparency and Integrity Leadership Award. On behalf of CTCI Corp., President Ming-Shyan Lee received the award from the Deputy Legislative Speaker Chi-Chang Tsai at the awards ceremony on November 15.

“As a Guardian of Sustainable Earth, CTCI is committed to global sustainability through its core competencies,” said President Lee. “People worldwide are paying attention to net zero emissions and ESG nowadays, and at CTCI, we are actively fulfilling the net zero EPC mission through ESG engagement of all members. This is done by mobilizing our 8,000 staff globally to work towards the ‘Green Engineering’ goal, as well as joining forces with project owners and suppliers worldwide to follow global trends in sustainability, and exert our influence.”
CTCI ASI, whose business development focuses on smart fields, also supports global sustainability by offering owners solutions for instrumentation and control system, ICT integration, smart AI applications, smart green buildings, and energy management, which allow owners to be able to optimize their industrial processes and upgrade the overall industry.
CTCI adopts various climate strategies aggressively, including the creation of energy-saving culture, the use of 3 million kWh green electricity in 2023, the goal-setting of “net zero at HQ and offices by 2030, net zero at all fabrication sites by 2050,” the application of cutting-edge green technology, and the adoption of green procurement. These measures have helped CTCI and its owners alike to cut emissions. To build a sustainable supply chain, CTCI established the “CTCI Supplier Net Zero Alliance” in 2023. Out of the current 172 supplier members, 112 have successfully received training and support from CTCI to conduct greenhouse gases inventory. CTCI looks forward to expanding its sustainable influence and work with all suppliers for the common good and a sustainable, brighter business outlook.
To ensure that the information on CTCI’s sustainability-related practices become more accessible to its stakeholders, CTCI takes great effort to maintain multiple disclosure channels. This includes the annual third-party-verified Sustainability Report, issued voluntarily and unprecedently among Taiwan’s engineering industry since 2008. In 2018, CTCI began to adopt the disclosure framework set by Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, and in 2022 released its first TCFD report. Also in 2022, CTCI has released the Sustainable Impact Assessment Report based on the ideas of Triple Bottom Line and Profit & Loss.

For over a decade, CTCI has garnered recognitions from sustainability appraisal institutions both at home and abroad, thanks to its relentless sustainability effort. CTCI’s accolades include being selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index for 8 consecutive years; received the Top 1% honor in S&P’s Sustainability Yearbook and No.1 honor in the global construction and engineering industry— the only Taiwanese engineering company on the list; being named as a top 5% company in Taiwan Stock Exchange’s corporate governance evaluation; being included by MSCI, CDP, and TWSI in their ESG rankings or assessment; received Global Views Monthly’s top prize for CSR & ESG Award (service industry); and received CommonWealth Magazine’s Top 100 for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award. CTCI will continue to uphold the “Most Reliable” brand spirit and fulfill its ESG vision by being a “Guardian of Sustainable Earth.”
