Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy announced the results of Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) and Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA) selections on November 16. CTCI, the largest global engineering, procurement, and construction group in Taiwan, continues to be the top winner in the engineering industry category. CTCI Corp. clinches Top 10 Domestic Companies Sustainability Model Award for six straight years, and wins Climate Leadership Awards, Supply Chain Management Awards, Growth Through Innovation Leadership Award, and Corporate Sustainability Report Award—platinum award for the Chinese report under the service industry (category 1). It is even honored with the Best Practice Award in GCSA selection this year.

CTCI ASI, a subsidiary company of CTCI, wins the Top 100 Sustainability Model Award, and Corporate Sustainability Report Award—platinum award for the Chinese report under the service industry (category 2).

John T. Yu, CTCI Group Chairman, receives the awards from Jong-Tsun Huang, President of the Examination Yuan, during awards ceremony on November 16.

Yu firstly offers appreciation to the contribution of all CTCI colleagues. He says, CTCI envisions to be "A Guardian of Sustainable Earth" and is dedicated to fulfilling sustainable operations through its core competencies and calling on all staff to care for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions and reach net zero emission target. He expects the 7,000 colleagues of CTCI to continue promoting and implementing the three major categories of "green engineering," namely green technology, green contracting, and green investments. The company aims to assist clients and the global supply chain partners to keep abreast with the trend for sustainability development.

Commenced operations this September, the TSMC Southern Taiwan Science Park Water Reclamation Plant is a model project in green engineering. The plant, delivered by CTCI Corp., is the world's first reclaimed water plant that uses innovative green technology to successfully regenerate industrial wastewater and reuse it in the semiconductor process, which also made a milestone in water resource circulation globally.

CTCI ASI is focused on developing intelligent solutions and now supports solutions in instrument & control system, information and communication technology integration, application of artificial intelligence, intelligent green building, and smart energy management. By helping clients achieve process optimization and industry upgrade, CTCI ASI has contributed to global sustainability through business operations.

In support of global carbon reduction actions, CTCI joined Taiwan Alliance for Net Zero Emission (TANZE) and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to speed up the realization of 2030/2050 net zero emission targets. It is committed to the goal of limiting the global temperate rise by 1.5°C. Faced with a global challenge to transition towards a low-carbon economy, CTCI, as a leader in Taiwan's engineering sector, is duty-bound to be committed to the sustainability and net-zero emission objectives. It also pledges to realize a vision of delivering Net-Zero EPC Projects.

Published voluntarily its first sustainability report that is verified by a third party, for over a decade, CTCI has been regarded as a model enterprise for sustainable development, surpassing many other competitors to ranks among the best. It has won various domestic and international sustainability awards, including being selected as a constituent stock of DJSI (Dow Jones Sustainability Index) in Emerging Markets category for eight consecutive years; ranked among top 5% of the Corporate Governance Evaluation by the Financial Supervisory Commission for seven times; listed by MSCI ESG Indexes; partook in CDP (carbon disclosure project); listed by TWSI (Taiwan Sustainability Index) as a component; obtained the Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award by the CommonWealth Magazine and CSR & ESG Award by Global Views Monthly; clinches Taiwan Circular Economy Hero Award; and recognized with the "Diversity for Better Tomorrow Awards" for superior performance in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). CTCI promises to continue being "the most reliable global engineering services provider" and contributing to the sustainable development of the Earth.
