TAIPEI, May 7, 2025- With an ambition to become a "Guardian of Sustainable Earth,” CTCI has long been committed to sustainable development with its core engineering business. For three consecutive years, CTCI has won the top prize in the "Comprehensive Performance - Service Industry" category at the ESG Corporate Sustainability Awards by the prestigious Global Views Monthly. Hence, this year, the company has been named to the 2025 Honor Roll, the award’s highest recognition. CTCI Corporation President Ming-Shyan Lee accepted the award on behalf of the company at the ceremony held on May 6.

Organized by Global Views Monthly, the ESG Corporate Sustainability Awards are widely regarded as one of Taiwan's most credible recognitions of corporate sustainability. In his remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Lee noted that as a leading engineering group ranked No.1 in Taiwan and among the world’s top 100, CTCI integrates sustainability principles into project execution. The company collaborates with global partners to build green supply chains and deliver environmentally friendly projects around the world, supporting industries in their green transformation and journey to net zero.
CTCI aligns its business operations and growth strategy closely with sustainability objectives, delivering outstanding results across all three ESG pillars—Environmental, Social, and Governance. This alignment has contributed to consistent business performance and stable growth. In corporate governance, the company continues to report robust performance, securing NT$125.6 billion in new contracts in 2024—marking five consecutive years of exceeding NT$100 billion. The value of backlog of contracts reached NT$333.4 billion, with consolidated revenues totaling NT$119.9 billion. Notably, low-carbon and environmental projects account for 60% of its portfolio. Key achievements include Taiwan’s first turnkey Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) surface facility project and a CCS pilot plant for a leading global semiconductor company, positioning CTCI as the first Taiwanese firm with end-to-end CCS engineering experience.
CTCI’s dedication to green engineering is evident across various infrastructure projects, including combined-cycle and independent power plants, desalination facilities, energy resource centers, and metro systems. The company is actively expanding into emerging fields such as blue hydrogen and low-carbon technologies. It is also the first engineering services firm in Taiwan to pass review from the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its 1.5°C-aligned emissions reduction goals—aiming for a 45% reduction by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050.
In addition to its climate action, CTCI prioritizes biodiversity and natural capital. The company conducts biodiversity hotspot analyses, commits to zero deforestation, and implements species conservation across its global projects. As an early adopter of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and signatory of the Business for Nature coalition, CTCI's TNFD report has been recognized for its “Example TNFD reporting,” showcasing its comprehensive environmental strategies and proven track record. These efforts reflect CTCI’s concrete actions toward both net-zero emissions and a nature-positive future.
On the social front, CTCI is committed to social responsibility and talent development. The company promotes a diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) workplace for employees from over 20 nationalities. Through its digital learning platform “CTCI Learning” and the CTCI Education Foundation, the company nurtures sustainability talent and contributes to positive societal change.
Internationally, the CTCI Education Foundation is Taiwan’s 11th NGO to be accredited as an observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), continuously participating in COP events to amplify Taiwan’s voice in the global sustainability movement.
Looking ahead, CTCI remains dedicated to its vision of being "the most reliable global engineering services provider," working hand in hand with partners to advance the world toward a more sustainable and prosperous future.
