As the wave of smart technology sweeps the world, CTCI, with years of cultivation and active innovative research and development, has made much advancement in smart manufacturing, smart transportation, smart buildings, smart cities and other areas, and assists global customers with innovative technology to carry out industrial upgrades. Please refer to the “Outlook” column in this issue regarding the development of CTCI in the smart technology industry.

For the development of smart buildings, CTCI has many leading innovative applications in the industry, including iSP intelligent solution platform of CTCI Research R&D Center, Mr. Energy 50001 energy management system of CTCI ASI, and BIM 7D intelligent maintenance system of CTCI SEC. In this issue of "Technology", we will use CTCI's second headquarters building, which is currently under planning, as an example to introduce how CTCI uses the aforementioned technologies and rich experience in smart E&M to create a safe, healthy, convenient, comfortable, energy-saving, sustainable and user-friendly architecture environment to achieve the purpose of a smart building.

CTCI has been pursuing the resource cycling field for more than 20 years. Its Group Resource Cycling Business is not only the largest in Taiwan, but also the first environmental resource management service company that has obtained the operation of foreign incineration plants. In addition to the operations of the incineration plant and the annual maintenance work, CTCI’s recent completion of the revamping project of the Gangshan Incineration Plant is the first case of revamping of incineration plant in Taiwan. The difficulty level is extremely high. This successful experience will not only promote domestic engineering technology but is also able to be used as a reference for more than 20 incineration plants in Taiwan that are aged and in need of revamping. "Discover Reliable" column will guide you through how CTCI succeeds in earning customers' trust with innovative technology and the most reliable engineering quality.

Many of the incineration plants operated by CTCI have passed the certification of environmental education facilities. In this issue of “Sustainable Future” column, we will share with you how we combine the diverse features of various incineration plants to provide people with the education and deep root the concept of protecting the environment. Volunteers even entered campuses and rural areas to explain and teach students the knowledge of green energy, and how to cherish the limited resources of the earth through “repair, reuse, and remanufacture".

In this issue of "CTCI Family", our colleague from CTCI Department of Mechanical & Equipment Engineering, Tsao-Tuo Tsai, will share with you his experiences during his dispatch in Qatar such as foreign cultures, precious international friendships and learning how to cooperate with international teams. Besides from being able to grow from these experiences, they have also become the most unforgettable memories of his life.
