One of the keys to ensuring business sustainability in the world today is to aim for low-carbon and net zero emissions. In “Carbon-neutrality a post-Covid challenge: Redouble our efforts in circular economy” (Outlook column), Jun-Jer Liao, CEO of Group Resource Cycling Business, CTCI, talks about how a leading brand in resource cycling can contribute to future net-zero emissions through its three sustainability-aligned business scopes: waste management/energy-from-waste, recycling and reuse, and renewable energy.

This issue’s Discover Reliable column tells the story about CTCI’s residue desulfurizer revamp EPC project at Talin No. 3 Refinery, owned by Taiwan’s state oil company CPC Corporation. Aimed at enhancing production capacity, CTCI has pre-planned meticulously, overcome difficulties, and achieved zero-incident, delivering exceptional quality—a proof of over four decades of experience in refinery projects.

In Sustainable Future column, be inspired by CTCI’s quality management practices to offset COVID-19 impact, including remote auditing and inspection through communication equipment and software. In Technology column, we turn to fire-protection design and construction planning for super-high-rise buildings. Specifically, we will be looking at a multi-dwelling unit in Taichung as case study.

In CTCI Family column, Gilbert, a control engineer, wishes to share with you his fun experiences working and living in Malaysia while he was working on Track 4A Project (power plant project). You will be amazed by the diverse culture, religion, language, and inclusiveness that this Southeast Asian country has to offer, just as Gilbert has been awe-struck. A joyful read with eye-appealing photos. Don’t miss out!
