In response to development trends in the economy, technology, and environment, smart cities and circular economy have become arguably some of the most popular topics worldwide. The huge business opportunities and development potential generated by its innovative applications have also attracted investments from many international enterprises. In this issue of the e-newsletter, two major business groups, CTCI Intelligent Solutions and CTCI Resource Cycling Business, have written articles to specifically share the development and future trends of CTCI in the above two major industries.

The "Outlook" column focuses on the smart city field. In this column, the CTCI Group Intelligent Solutions Business (GISB) introduced how to focus on the four core smart subjects (smart manufacturing, smart transportation, smart buildings, and smart parks) in combination with the Group's self-developed Intelligent Solution Platform (iSP) to provide a variety of smart application solutions and gradually build a blueprint for smart city development. The "Technology" column focuses on smart buildings and described the current status and future development. It uses the second headquarters smart building constructed by CTCI as an example to explain how smart building realizes dialogs between people, the environment, and facilities to become a model of smart innovation.

The "Discover Reliable" and "Sustainable Future" columns focus on the circular economy. The CTCI Group Resource Cycling Business (GRCB) cites the Kaohsiung Port Solar Power Plant and the Waste Solvent Purification & Reuse Technology as examples to describe how GRCB successfully constructed the first case of solar photovoltaic equipment on the roof of a commercial port in Taiwan, extending the life cycle of industrial waste solvents via self-developed purification and reused technologies, improving the resource cycling efficiency, and achieving the "Every Resource Counts" concept.

In this issue of "CTCI Family," Netravati Gundalli, who works in the group headquarters, published the "Taiwan - Beautiful Life, Wonderful Journey" article to describe the CTCI international environment and how the mutual assistance offered between senior colleagues have motivated her work enthusiasm and inspired her to be proud as a member of the big CTCI family.
