CTCI Successfully Expanded into the Middle East's Non-Ferrous Metal Industry: Saudi Arabia Titanium Sponge Plant Project The project accumulated 7 million safe man-hours without any disabling injuries, and it attained mechanical completion ahead of schedule. In August this year (2018), the titanium sponge was successfully manufactured, and 15,600 tonnes of Ti-Sponge will be produced annually for Saudi Arabia. The success of the project has established CTCI's reputation and foundation for entering the Middle East's non-ferrous metal industry.

As the global environment deteriorates, to ensure that the earth's limited resources enjoy maximum cyclical usage involves not only environmental protection but also global sustainable development. The circular economy is the remedy to addressing depleting resources as well as environmental sustainability. In this issue's "Outlook" column, we shall introduce to you CTCI's ECOVE, which specializes in resource cycling. ECOVE will demonstrate how its three main businesses: incineration and waste management, resource recyling, and photovoltaic power can integrate the three major cyclical models. With new technology and innovative technical applications, energy use can be maximized, gradually achieving zero waste and realizing a circular economy.

The world is facing water resource scarcity, how to conserve and reutilize water resources is also an important current topic. CTCI has cultivated the water resources domain for more than 20 years. In this issue's "Technology" column, we shall use the Linkou Water Resource Recycling Center's management case to introduce you how CTCI uses its proprietary intelligent solutions system, electronic inspection system, mobile microscope observations, cloud intelligent management and other methods to increase the water center's operational efficiency. We are also capable of equipment and water quality real-time control, ensuring a water circular economy.

As for CTCI's engineering project on construction of its Saudi titanium making plant, it has already began operations and successfully produced sponge titanium metals this August. During the execution of this project, though we've seen various cultural exchanges, shocks and fusions, we maintained adequate control of progress to timely and on quality completion. Our track record of 7 million safe hours with no disabilities or impairments have won us praise from business owners. The engineering project's successful execution also established CTCI's reputation and paradigm in its first attempt entering the Middle East's non-ferrous metal industry. In this issue's "Discover Reliable" column, you will see how CTCI wins praise from business owners with "most reliable" engineering quality.

In addition to tangible engineering service quality, CTCI also places considerable emphasis on intangible services such as "intellectual property protection". To provide business owners, partners, licensors, and suppliers with more comprehensive IP protection, this year, CTCI has taken a series of measures including strengthening organizational responsibilities, optimizing IP control mechanisms and others to reinforce staff members' ideas and perception towards IP control. For information on CTCI's methods on implementing IP control, please refer to the "Sustainable Future" column.

As we continue to expand globally, the working environments of each and every one of CTCI's location have become more globalized as well. In this issue of "CTCI Family", CTCI's colleague from Thailand, Sudarath Kiewtuen will share with us her two years' time spent posted to Taiwan, the training and growth experienced working with colleagues from Taiwan, India, Vietnam and elsewhere at CTCI's headquarters. The valuable friendship without borders as well as warm Taiwanese hospitality has made her feel at home. She comments on her fruitful experience with the words: "I Will Always Love Taiwan."
