Expanding Impact with CTCI Learning: Co-Creating a New Learning Paradigm
Amid the wave of industrial transformation and sustainability, talent cultivation has become a key driver in enhancing Taiwan’s global competitiveness. With a long-term vision for talent development, CTCI Group established “CTCI University” in 2020. Through its e-learning platform and well-structured professional programs, CTCI has built a comprehensive and agile digital learning system centered on competency-based development. Leveraging its expertise in environmental engineering, petrochemical engineering, energy, and high-tech industries, CTCI university offers over 1,400 specialized professional courses and mandatory general education programs. This initiative not only preserves and passes on CTCI’s professional knowledge and experience but also provides a robust e-learning environment for employees across the globe, delivering outstanding results. In 2021, CTCI launched “CTCI Learning”, an online platform designed to share its internal education resources with external users, extending its impact and advancing its corporate social responsibility. This learning platform offers free access to more than 250 engineering-related courses, sharing over 45 years of professional knowledge and practical experience. By engaging diverse learning communities, focusing on specialized content, and strengthening learners’ workplace readiness, CTCI Learning actively expands the company’s social influence within both the industry and academia. In recent years, it has reached learners from a wide range of engineering backgrounds. Moving forward, CTCI will continue to promote knowledge sharing and collaborative talent development, reinforcing Taiwan’s competitiveness in the global engineering arena, and fulfilling CTCI’s core value as a leader in green engineering.

Learner Demographics:Diverse Learning Community
To date, CTCI Learning has attracted over 3,700 learners across different age groups, industries, and academic backgrounds, forming a diverse and collaborative learning community. The majority are working professionals in manufacturing and construction engineering, reflecting a strong demand for continuous upskilling and professional development. Many learners serve as engineers, project managers, or site supervisors, using the platform to enhance their technical knowledge and broaden their interdisciplinary capabilities. The growing participation of students further demonstrates the platform’s strong appeal to future engineering talent. By accessing practical engineering courses early, student learners are better prepared for bridging academic learning with practical applications, enhancing their future employability.

Social Impact : Broad Participation, Deeper Social Connections
Since 2022, CTCI Learning has joined forces with academic and professional organizations to foster deeper social connections. CTCI Learning has increased interaction and enhanced it's visibility through website bulletin board postings. At the same time, it has proactively reached out to universities across Taiwan, providing promotional materials and inviting departments to assist with promotion via newsletters and emails. This initiative provides more young students with access to professional engineering resources, supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, Quality Education and Lifelong Learning. To strengthen its connection with the CTCI Group, CTCI Learning provides links on its homepage to the Group's official website and its three e-newsletters: CTCI, ECOVE, ESG. This helps members stay updated on CTCI's latest developments and guides users interested in the engineering field to free courses. Furthermore, CTCI Learning aggregates recruitment information from the Group's affiliated companies on platforms like 104 Job Bank, LinkedIn, and Facebook, helping external engineering talent to easily track CTCI's job openings and career opportunities. In 2024, driven by the Sustainability Office and CTCI Procurement Department, CTCI Learning added two major sections: "Sustainability and Net-Zero" and "Collaborating for Net-Zero, Achieving a Win-Win." These sections respond to ESG trends and challenges, highlighting CTCI's role as a guardian of global sustainability. Through the concept of "Green Engineering," which balances economic and environmental considerations, we further extend sustainable values to the broader supply chain, fulfilling corporate social responsibility and promoting the engineering industry's move towards sustainable development.
Looking Ahead
CTCI Group’s talent development strategy not only focuses on internal training through CTCI University, but also actively contributes to societal talent cultivation and value creation via CTCI Learning. In 2025, CTCI Learning partnered with a globally renowned chemical company to support the training of approximately 178 of its Taiwan-based employees, who registered as platform members and engaged in self-directed e-learning through elective courses. The platform also provides regular training reports to serve as a reference for the company’s talent development initiatives. CTCI Learning also addresses the learning needs of blue-collar workers by introducing “Easy to Speak Mandarin (With 300 Sentences)”, a multi-language e-learning course licensed from the National Open University, available in Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, and English. The program has been actively promoted within the group to encourage migrant workers to self-learn Mandarin, serving as a communication bridge between local supervisors and foreign employees, and cultivating a valuable long-term talent asset for the company. Looking forward, CTCI Group will continue to invest in talent cultivation, progressively expanding its portfolio of engineering courses on CTCI Learning to create a globally connected learning environment. Through these efforts, the company aims to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and strengthen the global competitiveness of Taiwan’s engineering industry.
