Fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility: ECOVE's Sustainability Mission and Practices
CTCI Group's Resource Cycling Business, ECOVE, operates with the core business philosophy of being "the most reliable provider of industry-leading resource cycling services." The company is committed to environmental protection, energy conservation, carbon reduction, and pollution prevention, demonstrating its continued dedication to sustainable development. In fulfilling this mission, ECOVE steadfastly believes that employees are the cornerstone of promoting sustainable development and actively engages with the community to collaboratively create a better future.
Sustainability Starts with Our Employees
ECOVE emphasizes a people-centered approach, dedicated to fostering employee understanding and involvement in achieving the company's sustainability goals. CSR Hour is one key initiative designed to encourage employee participation in environmental protection efforts by sharing the company's latest developments, addressing environmental protection issues, and promoting sustainability activities. In addition, ECOVE supports various annual initiatives, such as the Earth Hour, World Oceans Day, World Water Day, World Animal Day, and International Volunteer Day. The company also regularly organizes Energy Conservation Week activities to integrate environmental protection concepts into employees' day-to-day activities, instilling a workplace culture of energy conservation, carbon reduction, and environmental sustainability. Regarding employee training, the company regularly invites both in-house and outside experts to speak on subjects like circular economy, clean energy, biodiversity, and urban resilience. The CTCI University platform, as well as internal workshops and exchange activities, enhance employees' professional skills and empower them to make a more significant impact on environmental protection and sustainable development.
One Factory, One Footprint: Promoting Environmental Education
ECOVE operates 13 resource recovery centers across Taiwan, most of which welcome visits from schools and community groups. Five of these centers have received certification as environmental education facilities. Over the years, ECOVE has launched various environmental education programs designed with characteristics of the local environment in mind. These initiatives not only aim to change the public's stereotypical perceptions of waste treatment facilities but also promote resource recycling, environmental protection, and social co-prosperity. Since 2018, ECOVE has implemented the One Factory, One Footprint program, bringing environmental education into schools. Sixty-five events have been conducted across Taiwan to date, with over 8,000 participating students. These activities focus on interactive teaching and emphasize reusing old items, educating students to value resources and practice resource recycling. Program achievements have been widely recognized by both teachers and students. Many schools have proactively invited ECOVE for follow-up visits, expressing that these activities enhanced students' awareness of environmental protection and inspired them to practice sustainable principles in their daily lives.

Community Involvement for Shared Success
For many years, ECOVE has been an active participant in community activities aimed at promoting strong neighborly relationships. In the past three years, the company has organized and sponsored over 260 events, encompassing a diverse range of activities, including local festivals, tree plantings, and environmental creativity competitions. Employees volunteer in public welfare activities like street cleaning, beach cleanups, ecological conservation, material donations, and support for disadvantaged groups. On average, each employee contributes four hours of volunteer service per year. These efforts have not only enabled ECOVE to build a deeper emotional connection with local residents but have also successfully transformed the company from a NIMBY (not in my backyard) facility to a YIMBY (yes in my backyard) facility, gaining widespread support and recognition.

Exploring Circular Economy Trends through Industry-Academia Collaboration
ECOVE recognizes the importance of education and has signed memorandums of understanding with several universities to provide internship opportunities for students, combining academic research with industry practice. During their internship, students gain an in-depth understanding of factory operational processes and learn specific measures for resource cycling and energy conservation through hands-on experience. Furthermore, the company regularly invites academic experts and industry leaders to share cutting-edge knowledge, providing students and employees with the latest developments in the circular economy and cultivating a more skilled workforce.
Battling Climate Change with Concrete Actions
In response to challenges presented by global climate change, ECOVE actively promotes energy conservation, carbon reduction, and resource efficiency initiatives. The company has effectively reduced energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through equipment upgrades, operational optimization, and technological innovation. At the same time, the company's self-improvement plan encourages employees to propose innovative solutions and collectively contribute to environmental protection. For instance, in waste treatment facilities, ECOVE has implemented an intelligent management system to improve resource recovery efficiency. In the energy sector, the company has developed green energy projects aimed at reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and maximizing resource utilization.
Joining Forces Toward Sustainable Development
In the future, ECOVE will continue to enhance environmental education and community engagement while strengthening collaboration with various sectors to jointly promote circular economy solutions. The company intends to further expand the reach of its environmental education program to benefit a greater number of students and community residents. ECOVE will also continue to pursue technological innovation and enhance operational efficiency to tackle the escalating challenges brought on by climate change. Through these efforts, ECOVE aims to serve as a bridge between society and the environment, creating lasting benefits for the planet and guiding more people towards a new chapter of sustainable development.
