The conference gathered worldwide leading experts, industry leaders, and policy makers to explore how the circular economy could enhance global sustainable development.
A Key Platform for Circular Economy and Green Transformation
The conference centered on three main themes: circular economy metrics, circular business models and innovation, and economic tools and green finance. Presentations of research papers and technological case studies from around the world showcased the latest progress and achievements in the field of circular economy. These sessions covered not only academic research but also discussed how various sectors are pushing the boundaries of the circular economy through innovative business models. They explored the utilization of economic tools and green financial instruments to promote sustainable development. The circular economy has become a crucial global strategy for addressing resource scarcity and environmental impacts. The conference aimed to enhance collaboration among academia, industry, and government sectors, facilitating knowledge exchange and technical cooperation across various fields, providing practical solutions for the comprehensive implementation of the circular economy.
Roundtable Session: Interdisciplinary Discussions and Policy Recommendations
On the second day of the conference, a roundtable session took place, bringing together representatives from government, business, and research institutions to discuss policies and measures that advance the circular economy. Participants developed strategies and specific recommendations for promoting the circular economy at various levels (government, industry, academic research), culminating in a policy recommendation report that aims to support the development of circular economy policies in Taiwan and globally.
Strengthening Global Collaboration, Striving for a Greener Future
This conference was not merely a showcase of the latest research and technological achievements in the circular economy but also an important platform for global cooperation. Through interdisciplinary exchanges and discussions, participants gained an in-depth understanding of various countries' policies and practical experiences in circular economy.
