The CTCI Education Foundation (CTCIEF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s Climate Change Education Platform through its Climate Change Education Promotion Program, and the Graduate Institute of Sustainability Management and Environmental Education at National Taiwan Normal University jointly organized the "CCESDG: Connecting to the World, Shaping the Future - 2024 Climate Change and Sustainable Development Education School-Based Curriculum Call for Proposals Competition." The initiative attracted 88 teachers from public and private elementary and secondary schools across Taiwan, who formed forming teams to compete for top honors.

This year’s competition focused on enhancing Climate Change Education (CCE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). By leveraging the interdisciplinary and multifaceted nature of "sustainability," the competition encouraged educators to incorporate key global and local key issues—such as finance, economy, society and environment—into their curriculum designs. The aim was to improve sustainability education by aligning with each school’s unique highlights and experiences, fostering social contributions, thus amplifying their impact.

The final presentation of results for this year’s competition was held on July 16 at the CTCI Group’s First Headquarters Building, featuring 17 teams from 17 schools and a total of 62 outstanding teachers vying for the top honors. The final jury consisted of six experts from academic sector, including Professor Shin-Cheng Yeh and Professor Shiang-Yao Liu from National Taiwan Normal University, Professor Ping-Han Cheng from National Taipei University of Education, Professor Chung-Hung Wu from National Taichung University of Education, Principal Chi-Min Liu of Hualien’s Ji-An Junior High School, and Honorary School Inspector Li-Tzu Jan, a retired principal from Pingtung County Government’s Education Department

After careful evaluation by the panel of judges, the "Climate x Sustainability Seedling Base" team from Kaohsiung Senior High School won the High Distinction Prize, securing a cash reward of NT$100,000. The Excellence Awards went to three teams: "Innovation Sustainability Alliance" from Taichung Sz-Yu Junior High School, "Green Promoters" from Kaohsiung Wen-Fu Elementary School, and "Lunghua Can Do It All" from Kaohsiung Lunghua Junior High School.
