Sustainable Talent development: Reserve Corporate Power of People
Employees are the most valued and precious assets of CTCI Group, and they are also the strongest pillar of CTCI in promoting international engineering services. Under the corporate culture of "Professionalism, Integrity, Teamwork, and Innovation", CTCI is committed to creating a friendly and healthy workplace where employees can learn and grow, develop their talents, and build solid dreams. We create a dignified, safe, equal and inclusive working environment that allows each employee to fully apply their rich and comprehensive expertise to their careers. Meanwhile, we also take care of employees’ physical and mental needs as much as we do our family members, enabling CTCI employees to strike a work-life balance and work together towards a shared goal with peace of mind. In this way, CTCI employees around the world can shine together on the international stage. CTCI actively invests resources in talent development, hoping to attract like-minded professionals, while planning a comprehensive training program for new hires. It also provides professional training for different job categories. In addition to formulating personal development for each colleague, we continue to invest resources in developing management capabilities, with a mentor system and online learning courses to enable colleagues to continue learning and growing.

Talent development strategies that correspond to functions and positions
Create a Borderless Online Learning Platform “CTCI University” without Time Difference
As an international turnkey engineering services group, CTCI employees are from various professional fields. In order to equip each employee with the required expertise in their respective positions, CTCI has specially developed an online learning platform “CTCI University”, which includes six colleges providing required courses for various positions, so that employees can improve themselves anytime and anywhere. For employees who want to accelerate their learning journey, they can take courses required for the next more senior position or other positions during the annual course selection period; for colleagues who want to apply for rotation, we have also prepared prerequisite courses for rotation. Then, those who want to be cross-functional learners, such as engineering design colleagues interested in procurement or project management, can choose from over 1,500 courses relevant to their needs. In addition, in order to cultivate the management and leadership skills of senior executives, "College of Leadership" provides various levels of leadership courses such as basic management, general management, and advanced management; "College for General Education" provides courses including corporate culture, sustainability, strategic consensus camps, language learning and so on. “CTCI University” serves as a platform where employees can strengthen their expertise and thoroughly recharge their learning with endless learning resources, allowing each employee to fully leverage their professional skills to advance in their careers.

Leadership courses at all stages
We have established an internal inheritance and expert system, hoping to pass on knowledge, skills and experience through the sharing of personal experiences from supervisors and colleagues, and to develop professional courses based on the functions of each colleagues' positions. Most courses are recorded by senior colleagues in a dedicated studio. Furthermore, in order to increase the efficiency of course planning and production, we have purchased generative AI audio-visual software in 2023. Its functions include: 1.Generate a course with just one slide deck and one lecture note, reducing the instructor's preparation time by a third. 2.With the help of the software’s multi-language function, one can freely select AI characters and accents, add subtitles and lines, and create English pronunciation courses to improve the learning efficiency and effectiveness of overseas colleagues. In addition, we provide more external resources on current issues and trends, such as: high-tech fields, sustainable net zero, and digital transformation issues. We invite external experts or work with management consulting firms to deliver the course, allowing colleagues to continue to be exposed to forward-looking issues in the hope that they will be inspired to propose innovative ideas that can be applied to their work. We will keep developing training courses that are not a matter of routine, featuring our competitive advantage as a “learning organization”.
Establish a Rotation System to Enhance Employees’ Vision and Ambition
In terms of career planning, in order to strengthen talent cultivation and effectively utilize manpower, an internal rotation platform is established to enhance internal development opportunities for talents, and an appropriate mechanism is built to provide job rotation opportunities based on employees' personal career plans. CTCI's rotation system is divided into two types. The first is proactive matching by colleagues/departments, and the second is designed to achieve the purpose of talent development by training them to advance to key positions in the future. In terms of career and promotion system, CTCI believes that ability and potential are equally important, and hopes to enhance colleagues’ vision and ambition through position rotation. The first type is aimed at employees who have worked in a position for three years or longer. They can apply for internal rotation through personal career plan and rotation opportunities. This mechanism is designed to strengthen talent development and make effective use of manpower, while enhancing colleagues’ work experiences that lead to innovative breakthroughs, thereby facilitating talent development and mobility. The second type is aimed at proactively developing potential talents to take over key positions in the future, hoping to cultivate an independent department head in 10 years. The career plan for potential talents corresponds to on-the-job training to accelerate the development plan, mechanism and operation. Recently, in response to the establishment of the Group’s Advanced Technology Facility Business Operations (ATFBO), combined with the unit’s industry characteristics of faster pace and flexibility, and to encourage internal colleagues to rise to challenges, CTCI University and each college have accordingly started planning high-tech courses and necessary training to equip colleagues with industry-related knowledge.

Talent development planning path
As the Group chairman John T. Yu often says, corporate governance is the most important part of ESG, with talent development representing the core. How to retain, cultivate and deploy talents have emerged as an important topic. And education is the only way to make outstanding talents keep improving. To achieve the goal of sustainable development, an enterprise must reserve strong talent power. By strengthening and enhancing our most valued and precious assets—the wisdom and power of our people, we hope they will grow and thrive along with the company, becoming the strongest pillar of the group’s expansion into international engineering services.
