Taiwan CTCI Receives TANZE-Accredited “Green Mark” Net-Zero Label

TAIPEI, June 14, 2022- CTCI, a supporter of global sustainability through its engineering competencies, received a “Green Mark” Net-Zero Label that is accredited by Taiwan Alliance for Net Zero Emissions (TANZE). Representing CTCI, Group Chairman John T. Yu attended the label awarding ceremony. CTCI joined 15 companies that also received inaugural net-zero labels on a path towards net-zero emissions by 2050.

CTCI joined TANZE and Taiwan Association for Net Zero Emissions last year and made a commitment to reach net zero emissions at its offices by 2030/at fabrication bases by 2050. The Net-Zero Label is a two-stage process. Companies who make a “commitment” to reduce corporate emissions and provide verifiable reduction targets receive Green Mark Net-Zero Labels. Audits are then carried out each year on corporate office and fabrication site performance. Depending on the “level of completion” in terms of emissions reduction, companies are further given Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond Labels. Through concrete actions, companies are helping to mitigate climate change.

Through green engineering technologies and advocacy for “net-zero engineering, procurement, and construction,” CTCI is joining hands with clients and suppliers globally to make net-zero emissions come true. Moreover, CTCI joined science based targets initiative (SBTi) this year and made a commitment to set its carbon reduction agenda that aligns with the goal of keeping temperature rise within 1.5°C, and speeds up the process of reaching the 2030/2050 net-zero emissions goals. In the future, CTCI will continue to serve in the interest of Mother Earth by making impact through sustainable engineering.
