CTCI Recognized by Taipower for Smart Management of Outstanding Green & Eco-Friendly Site
TAIPEI, December 23, 2025- Taiwanese EPC services leader CTCI, which has long been committed to financially and environmentally beneficial green engineering and the “Guardian of Sustainable Earth” vision, was awarded the Excellence Award in Taipower’s Outstanding Green & Eco-Friendly Site Evaluation for the construction site where the Taichung Power Plant new-build gas-fired units took place. The site utilized smart and green technologies to enhance pollution prevention efficiency, save energy, and reduce more carbon emissions, allowing environmental management to become much more precise and intelligent. CTCI Corp. President Ming-Shyan Lee accepted the award on behalf of the company from the President of Taipower Yao-Ting Wang. Taipower’s evaluation program aimed at praising contractors who adopt environmentally-friendly measures in keeping construction sites green and eco-friendly. President Lee said that CTCI team followed the latest environmental regulations and supported the administration’s enhancement measures. The site included various smart features, such as AI identification system, environment sensors, and autonomous management label for construction equipment cleaning discharge. Green features include repurposing of power plant’s bottom ash, raising fish in drainage system to eliminate mosquito’s breeding source, installing distribution panels to reduce air pollution, and reusing crushed waste rock, grout formwork, and waste material. These actions helped lower environmental impact and represent CTCI’s best practice in terms of green engineering. CTCI is the only company in Taiwan capable of power plant and LNG terminal EPC projects. It has not only participated in power plant engineering and construction throughout Taiwan’s history, but has also played an important role in engineering and constructing LNG terminals in Taiwan that are currently under operation. Its track record extends overseas to countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and India. This year, CTCI was awarded key gas-fired power plant contracts such as Tung Hsiao, Ta Lin, and Kuo Kuang, as well as CPC Kaohsiung Intercontinental and FPCC Mailiao LNG terminal projects. CTCI will continue to support the administration in building an energy system that is stable, low-carbon, and sustainable, thus living up to its own ESG vision of becoming a “Guardian of Sustainable Earth.”
