Could you briefly tell us about yourself?

I have been with CTCI as an engineer in Mechanical & Equipment Engineering Department for seven years.

My main work responsibilities involve requisition preparation, technical bid evaluation, and vendor documents review. Currently, I am supporting a semiconductor fab construction project in Arizona, U.S.

What made you join CTCI?

When I quit my job from the semiconductor industry, one of my college friends recommend me to apply for a job from CTCI. As I knew, CTCI is one of the leading companies in the engineering sector in Taiwan, which carries out projects all over the world and provide opportunities to work overseas. This being the case, I chose to work here.

Could you give us some examples of the foreign culture and people that impress you during your stay (when being relocated)?

When I came to the US. Our foreign colleagues usually share with me their holiday plans with me. They taught me not to work for all day, encouraged me to try different outdoor activities and enjoy the U.S. culture.

My colleagues also shared their experience on how to find out the core of problems and make a judgment, while not to forgot the importance of being humble in life. I’m glad I met people here. They help me to know how to strike a work-life balance.

How do you get rid of work stress?

I took trips with my colleagues during national holidays to visit famous attractions in Arizona and New Mexico. We’ve paid visits to many places, for example, Grand Canyon National Park, the seven wonders of the world; Antelope Canyon, one of the famous slot canyon of the world; the Horseshoe bend, which is named one of the top 10 photographic attractions in the United States by National Geographic magazine; White Sands National Park, the largest gypsum dune field on Earth; and Carlsbad Caverns National Park, the largest limestone chamber in North America.

Enjoying the fantastic views of these spectacular landscape allows me to relieve work pressure and meet new challenges at work.
