CTCI Group Chairman John T. Yu Honored with 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award by Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers

CTCI Group Chairman John T. Yu has been devoted to the development of engineering business in his whole career; under his leadership, CTCI grew from a local enterprise started with hydrocarbon business into a Top 100 EPC international contractor listed by Engineering News-Record (ENR). Having successfully promoted Taiwan’s engineering technology into the international industry and made CTCI a role model for Taiwan’s enterprise to go global, his remarkable contribution has led to his receiving of 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award by Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Group Chairman Yu led over 40 domestic and overseas subsidiaries to penetrate the international market and has a strong track record in hydrocarbon, power, environmental, transportation, and general industry throughout Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Not only has CTCI been ranked by ENR as one of the Top 100 international contractors, since 2015, it has been selected as a member of Dow Jones Sustainability Indices component for three years in a row, expanding its international publicity even further. In 2016, CTCI launched a rebranding project with a mindset of sustainable management, defining CTCI’s brand spirit as “Most Reliable”, Mr. Yu has continued efforts to lead the group into becoming “the most reliable global engineering services provider”, setting up a fine example for other Taiwanese enterprises wanting to go global as does CTCI.

Chairman Yu’s remarkable management for CTCI has won him various honors, including Top 50 Best Performing CEOs in Taiwan by Harvard Business Review, Outstanding Achievement Award under the 2012 Industrial Sustainable Excellence Award by Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professional award in Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards by Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy. This time, Chairman Yu has once again been recognized with the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award by Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers for his great contribution to the engineering sector.
