Innovative Thinking of iEPC--Turnkey Service
EPC turnkey service has been faced with an aging population, a low birthrate, the trend of industrial development, the progress of intelligent high tech and the rapid development of the Industry 4.0 era in recent years. CTCI has been able to compete against its global counterparts from Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea in EPC turnkey service, but the EPC project has complicated interfaces, mass customization and divides the execution of its work across several countries. In response to the development of turnkey service and the trend of Industry 4.0, CTCI will apply intelligent high-tech applications to stand out from our competitors and create competitive advantages.
Intelligent Technology iEPC
Improving Engineering Integration Capability
iEPC will link engineering, procurement, construction and commission data systems in series, so all information will be integrated, and the relations are created through the Tag Platform. All conventional procedures and engineering information management will shift from batch processing to agile reaction and help CTCI improve its “engineering integration capabilities”. For engineering design, to launch design/calculation/analysis /modeling automation and intelligent through industry–university cooperation and internal self-development, we have developed intelligent engineering designs, such as piping auto-routing, power wiring automation and S3D intelligent tube automation, to increase CTCI design competencies and design quality. We will apply big data analysis and machine learning to deal with a great deal of design work that must be replaced by computers in the future. For procurement, we establish a collaboration platform and CAP (CTCI Alliance Partner) to strengthen our procurement supply chain. Through the collaboration platform, the data exchange of technical, production status and progress, QTO, will be transparent between CTCI and its vendors to achieve seamless integration of information. For construction, we have launched electronic and mobile site management and have been continuously developing mobile devices, site equipment management, and an HSE (health, safety and environment) mobile system to improve site operation efficiency and reduce site incidents. We also employ robots to carry out onsite tasks such as welding, assembly, painting, inspection, handling and installation. We believe that all the applications will help construction sites achieve intelligent fabrication and smart installation. Through iEPC, CTCI will enhance the “engineering integration capability” to achieve integration across engineering departments, EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction, and commission) integration, project management integration, software/hardware information platform integration, etc. We also provide distributed schedule control and agile reaction in project management to increase the accuracy and speed of execution. We believe that this will help CTCI gain advantages in competitive EPC contract work.

The Integrated Virtual and Physical Plant Services
Under the iEPC structure, all information is tagged in the Tag Platform. The Tag Platform makes the engineering workflow and data flow transparent, and all processes will be recorded and answered. Therefore, all data / information can be queried and integrated by Tag during the engineering execution, such as engineering diagrams, equipment specifications, 3D models, QTO, MTO and other design information to achieve the performance of Just in Time. Furthermore, CTCI will employ high-tech products, such as Cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), QR Code/RFID and Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR). We will apply the QR Code/RFID to the inventory management of equipment/materials to save time and labor cost. We will also use Virtual Reality (VR) to assist 3D model review and improve design quality and efficiency and thus assist our clients in understanding the status of overall plant planning, design, and construction. After the plant has been handed over, the client can also apply Augmented Reality (AR) to find the corresponding Tags related to engineering drawings, equipment specifications, maintenance manuals and maintenance records and to achieve plant preventive maintenance and on-time monitoring. CTCI launched iEPC, which is leading to the integration of virtual and physical plant services and works through the whole plant life cycle. We believe that this will make us stand out from our competitors, satisfy client demands, and boost our customers’ awareness of our reliability and advanced capability. This will allow us to seek potential business opportunities to expand our service to more customers in the future.

The Integrated Virtual and Physical Plant Services
Innovation to Intensify CTCI Capability
CTCI embraces small-volume and large-variety production based on Industry 4.0 concepts to integrate EPC innovative management, launch automation and intelligence, construct the Tag Platform, and enhance distributed schedule control and agile reaction. All productions are highly correlated with each other and involved in iEPC, including design, procurement, construction, installation, management, inspection, and even equipment suppliers and subcontractors. This will make the project management more refined and real. CTCI will use EPC innovative management and strive to provide faster, better and more competitive service to meet customer expectations and create maximum value to customers and stakeholders. Over the past thirty years, CTCI has adhered to the corporate culture of “Professionalism, Integrity, Teamwork, and Innovation” and strengthen CTCI’s global brand to keep up with world-class companies in EPC turnkey service. CTCI will remain in the trend of Industry 4.0 to innovate CTCI engineering service capability, make the world recognize CTCI as reliable and achieve the goal of becoming “The Most Reliable Global Engineering Services Provider”.
