Taiwan Is My Second Home

Could you briefly tell us about yourself?

I have approximate 9 years of experience in Instrument Engineering work such as Technical Bid Evaluation, Instrument specification, Instrument Detail Design and Instrument control system.

What made you join CTCI?

CTCI headquarters was looking for talents specific for big project in Middle East, and I was requested by my colleague to join with CTCI. It is a good opportunity and I was looking to gain good experience to work in an international company.

Could you share some interesting experience you had when working in CTCI?

The first time when I came to Taiwan, I was afraid and worried how to start a life in other country. But the good relationship from my colleague and work atmosphere feels like a family. And these helped me to adapt both professionally and socially.

How do you get rid of work stress?

I and other Thai engineers would find holiday and go outside to relax and gain new experience for life.

Could you give us some examples about Taiwanese culture and people that you are impressed with?

As Thai and Taiwanese culture are not that different, living in Taiwan does not require a lot time to adapt except for the language. And I have found that Taiwanese people can be quite friendly. It happened to one of my friends. We went to somewhere nearby Taipei. She lost her wallet on a public bus. At that time, she was not aware that she lost it. Twenty minute passed, she wanted to buy something and then she knew that she lost it. We went to police station and tried to explain to them about the whole story but as our Chinese is not good, we had to ask a Taiwanese friend to communicate with police via phone. Then, the police helped us to contact with the bus driver to find out the wallet. After three hour waiting at police station, finally we got the wallet back with nothing missing. From this incident, we feel impressed by how friendly and kindly the Taiwanese are!
