Could you briefly tell us about yourself?

My name is Sudarath Kiewtuen (you can call me Ann). I have been working as an Equipment Engineer in CTCI Thailand for 4 years.

My hometown is Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand.

What made you join CTCI?

In August 2014, I was looking for a new challenge that could broaden my work experience. An ex-colleague who had joined CTCI Thailand told me about a job opportunity at the company and I applied for the job.

What made me join CTCI HQ?

CTCI HQ requested additional manpower to support the LIWA and CUP4 projects and I had the skills for those. All in, I spent 20 months in the Taipei office.

Could you share some unforgettable/interesting experience you had when working in CTCI?

While in Taipei, I had chance to work with colleagues from CTCI: CINDA, CIMAS, and CTCI headquarters in Taipei.

I learned “Good communication is at the heart of great teamwork”, especially when communicating in English. We had many ways to reach each other: email, face-to-face, phone call, etc. This enabled the sharing of ideas and issues, feedback, follow-up action and so on. Overall, it increased our success at problem-solving.

I will never forget what I learned, nor the working relationship and friendship with all of my colleagues. Thank you all.

How do you handle work stress?

I enjoy working in CTCI very much. In the workplace I can share my work stress with the Lead Engineer (LE) and other colleagues. We talk not only about work, but also travel, hobbies and other subjects. Any remaining work stress is relieved by cooking and traveling.

Sometime we (CTCI Thailand staff) have a potluck party. As you know, Thai food is very delicious so such an occasion is a time to celebrate, talk together and eat together.

Traveling in Taiwan is very easy even for solo travelers as there are many efficient public transportation options. Travelling also helps me to relieve stress.

Could you give us some examples of Taiwanese culture and its people that impress you?

I deeply appreciate all the support and encouragement that I received from LE Benjamin Lin and other colleagues during the time I spent working in Taiwan.

Taiwanese people are the friendliest and kindest in the world and made me feel very much at home.
